Getting started
Connect your AI tool
Copy-paste MCP config for every major client.
Shortcut
Your AI can do this for you: paste the prompt from Install & run and it connects itself.
Paathshala exposes its tools through an MCP server. The app’s own Connect AI page (/connect) shows these snippets filled in with your real paths. Below are the equivalents using npx.
Settings → Developer → Edit Config (claude_desktop_config.json), then restart Claude.
{
"mcpServers": {
"paathshala": {
"command": "npx",
"args": [
"-y",
"-p",
"paathshala",
"paathshala-mcp"
]
}
}
}Zed, Cline and Continue use the same stdio command; see each tool’s MCP settings for where to paste it.
Pointing both at the same library
If you use a non-default library file, set PAATHSHALA_DB for both the app and the MCP server, otherwise they will see different data. See Environment variables.
Check it works
Ask your AI: “Use Paathshala to get my overview.” It should call get_overview. The Connect page shows when your AI last did something.
