Courses

A real structure for months of learning

Chats scroll away; a course doesn’t. Ask your AI for “a Class 8 CBSE science course” and Paathshala holds the whole tree: subjects, chapters, lessons and quizzes. Every course can rename its own levels, so a school board reads Course → Subject → Chapter while an exam syllabus reads Paper → Topic. Lessons are Markdown with KaTeX maths, learning objectives and resources.

  • Syllabus-shaped trees that your AI builds in one request
  • Lessons can also stand alone, outside any course
  • Tags and global search across everything

Practice & review

Practise once, remember for good

Quizzes aren’t a dead end. Every question you miss goes into a spaced-repetition box and comes back at growing intervals. Get it right and it moves up the ladder; miss it and it returns tomorrow. The Review page shows exactly what is due, across every course.

  • MCQ quizzes with a 70% pass mark
  • Flashcards, and written answers with word limits and model answers
  • One Review queue that tells you what is due today

    Q&A

Ask the exact line you’re stuck on

Stuck mid-lesson? Highlight the sentence and ask. The question is saved with the passage, queued for your AI, and the answer lands in a thread right next to the lesson. Nothing is lost when you close a chat window, and good conversations from your AI tool can be saved in too.

    • Questions keep the passage they were about
    • AI-tool conversations can be saved back into Paathshala
    • Open questions wait in your Inbox until answered

Liquids exert pressure in all directions. The pressure at a point depends on depth, not on the shape of the container. This is why dams are thicker at the bottom.

    Inbox & Run AI

Everything waiting for your AI, in one place

The app never calls an AI itself. Instead it keeps a to-do list for your AI tool. Tell your AI “check my Paathshala inbox” and it gets the list over MCP. If you have Claude Code installed, Run AI starts it in the background with only Paathshala’s tools allowed, so the inbox clears itself.

    • “Copy prompt” for any AI tool you like
    • “Run AI” launches your local Claude Code headlessly: no API key
    • Live refresh: new content appears in the open app in seconds

    • Question: Why doesn’t shape matter?
    • Course requested: Class 6 History
    • Lesson placeholder: Atmospheric pressure
    • 3D model requested: Human heart

Everything waiting for your AI, in one place.

    3D Lab

    Models you can take apart

Ask for “a 3D model of the human heart” and your AI writes a validated JSON spec. Paathshala turns it into an interactive scene: pull it apart, click a chamber to ask about it, or follow a tour step by step. Because the spec is declarative, nothing your AI writes can run arbitrary code in your browser.

    • Explode view, clickable parts, guided tours, maths surfaces
    • Built-in IC engine and Fourier series to explore
    • No code is executed: specs are validated, never run

    3D engine

This is the real 3D Lab running a built-in model. Drag to orbit, click a part, drag Explode, or follow the tour.

    Every learner

One app, from first counting to UPSC

A 7-year-old and a postgraduate shouldn’t get the same screen. Audience modes change type size, spacing and interaction, and Simple mode trims the navigation down for young children. A− / A+ and browser-based Read aloud are always available.

    • Young (5–10): big type, one question at a time, Read aloud
    • School (11–18): syllabus order and worked examples
    • Advanced: dense layout, contents, previous-year questions

    Pressure in fluids

Pressure is force per unit area. For a liquid at depth h, the pressure is P = ρgh. Worked example: find the pressure 10 m under water.
